Pedro Feb 2017

Translation

"Hello to every person that has made this possible. This course is different and innovative. The addition of a new language creates new bonds of friendship with your colleagues and students who aspire to become future teachers. My primary objective is to be able to communicate without fear of being wrong in the universal langauge, English.Learning a new language will open the doors to know new customs, traditions and culture. There are cultural exchanges between teacher and student."

"WRITE A FEW SENTENCES ABOUT YOUR ENGLISH CLASSES AND WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR LEARNING ENGLISH? "

Translation

My experience at ITA is wonderful, they teach different topics alike present, simple, past simple, gerund, present perfect, future and auxiliary verbs. But for me ITA is a opportunity where I can practice with foreign people. When I started English here I didnt understand anything, but now I can speak and write in English. That is amazing for me.

The teachers are good people. Sometimes they give some advice to learn english fast and they are friendly.

I would like to work for ONG, because this kind of group helps poor communitites. I would be an interpreter because this way I could help other people of my country.

Now I practice after the class. When I go home I practice for 2 hours, look up the meaning of words, listen, and watch videos. I feel I can learn English.

Martin Luther King said, “If you want to change things you need to act.”

This phrase is wonderful for me. It is my motivation.

Thanks!!

God Bless you!!

English Scholarship Awards

I was honored to award five English scholarships to hard working adults last night in León, Nicaragua.  This would not have been possible without your generous contributions during the Cleveland Towpath Marathon fundraiser and continued support.  The scholarships will provide full tuition for students to attend weekly English classes Monday – Thursday, 6-8 pm, at ITA Nicaragua. Classes commence January 23, 2017 until June 2017.

The scholarships were based on financial need, attendance, participation, leadership, and merit. As a scholarship provider it was important to invest in students who are invested in his/her self. The desire for advanced education is just one example of how applicants demonstrate personal development. These students have taken it upon themselves to act upon inspiration; therefore, displaying ambition for an enriched life experience.
